If you want a bike ride with views of Mission Bay, this is the route for you! On this ride, you will cruise around the bay in its entirety, and with it being just over an hour ride and about 15 miles, you will have plenty of time to do other activities for the rest of the day.

I’ve started this bike route at the Ocean Beach Parking Lot at 5174 W. Point Loma Blvd. After K-Dub has delivered your bike you’re going to head east on the San Diego river pathway, which is directly north of the parking lot and follow that until you come to the bridge. You will want to be on the right side of the road and in order to do that you will have to go under the bridge, following pathway that veers off to you left hand side, right before the bridge and follow that until you’re on the right side of the road. Now you will be on Sea World drive on the bridge and continue heading northeast until you bike over the river, after crossing the bridge you will veer off on the bike path right after the bridge which will put you on the old sea world drive bike path.

Continue biking on this path until you come to your first left, which will be south shores parkway. You will want to take a left there and follow that road until you come to your first stop sign and you will want to take a right and follow that bike path until you come to E. Mission Bay Drive.

Once you are on E. Mission bay drive you will stay on the road for most of the bike ride, enjoying all the views Mission Bay has to offer. Keep an eye out for Crown Point drive which will be at the northern most tip of Mission Bay, there you will want to take a left which will lead you onto Bayside Walk. From there, Bayside Walk will take you around the rest of the bay and you will end up on W. Mission Bay Drive. Head east until you come to Quivira Access and take a right then your first left down Quivira road following that all the way down until your reach the bridge (the first bridge you crossed earlier in the ride) head south and then exit on the San Diego Pathway and head back to the parking lot and your 15-mile ride is done!
